The X Fronts

There are a small handful of podcast networks that everybody knows, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. work x work in collaboration with AdvertiseCast created The X Fronts to bridge the gap between independently produced shows, and advertisers ready to engage. The inaugural event was held virtually in September, 2020 and attended by thousands of leading brand marketers, media buyers and publishers.

 

work x work built The X Fronts from the ground up, including logo design, branding, naming, messaging, art, programming, partnerships, as well as livestream production.

 

Spanning a full day of presentations from 15 networks including Crooked Media, The Skimm, QCODE and more, attendees heard new show announcements, caught cameos from celeb podcast creators, and got educated on the latest advertising trends. Personalities with podcasts Busy Philipps, Lisa Vanderpump and Lauren Lapkus took part, alongside cultural figures like 2x super bowl champ Chris Long, musician and social phenom mxmtoon, critic Touré and Hot Pod Editor Nick Quah. The event was Hosted by Erica Mandy of The Newsworthy. The X Fronts changed the dialogue about indie, proving that the opportunity in podcast advertising is far greater than it seems.
