Freelance / Part Time Contract
Hybrid Position, Brooklyn, NY
Salary Range: $4,000 to $6,000 p/mo, based on hours and experience

 

Description:

work x work seeks an experienced cultural programmer for On Air Fest Brooklyn 2025. The ideal candidate is execution-driven, experienced in booking both talent and broader partnerships and comfortable joining a highly creative and motivated programming team committed to elevating the art of audio and storytelling.

The role demands a keen interest in podcasts, media, marketing, brand storytelling and audio innovation, with a finger on the pulse of content and cultural trends. Heading into its 8th year, On Air Fest will be expanding its live programming and Brooklyn footprint with new creative tracks, business conversations, keynotes, exhibitions and performances, along with live music, film and art. Come join the team and help us make On Air Fest even louder.

 

Responsibilities:

Live event programming and partnerships
Ideation across creative, innovation, film and industry tracks
Speaker & participant booking
Share weekly culture trends with creative team
Programming support for sponsors and partner activations
Guide session ideas to fully-formed live productions
Write host scripts with run of show for main stages
Manage talent relationships and comms
Manage a programming, travel and hospitality budget alongside the event producer
Manage production docs, databases, schedules and timelines
Liaise with creative, production, sales and marketing teams

 

Requirements:

2-5 years experience in event programming and production
Conference and festival programming preferred
Experience booking an event with multiple stages and audiences
Ability to lead calls & meetings with top-level talent
Excellent communication skills
Strong writing/editing/proofreading skills
Availability to work on and off-site
Keen attention to detail and organizational skills
A demonstrable interest in podcasts, cultural movements, music and fine art

Account Executive

work x work seeks an experienced Account Executive to generate new business and manage existing clients for our branding and design department. Candidates must be able to identify, influence, present to and close deals with potential clients, leveraging work x work’s capabilities and unique positioning at the nexus of culture, audio and branding.

The ideal candidate thrives in a highly competitive environment, driven to win new business and sees possibilities in all types of industries and products. This person must be comfortable in a creative environment, well-versed in problem solving, negotiating contracts and selling new products, ideas and services.

Responsibilities:
Generate new business and drive revenue growth
Represent our full suite of services including brand strategy, logo and identity systems, digital and IRL campaigns, content development, experiential design, audio and events
Build and strengthen strategic relationships with senior level client contacts and brand partners
Actively prospect via all channels including events, phone, email, LinkedIn, social, industry tools and face to face
Conduct ongoing market research to identify trends and strengthen work x work’s selling proposition
Solicit and respond to RFPs
Provide superior customer service to clients
Manage sales database, track, analyze and report all activity
Monitor the performance of projects and support creative team on behalf of clients
Collaborate with creative team on custom solutions

Requirements:
A minimum of 4 years experience, ideally in the branding/marketing/advertising field
A passion to see opportunities, understand needs, create solutions, set proper expectations and close meaningful deals
A proven record of success in a fast-paced, goal-oriented sales environment
Constructive, flexible, hard-working attitude & ability to work well within a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High level of organization with strong attention to detail
Strong multi-tasking abilities, project management and negotiation skills
Proficiency in database management and CRMs
