22 projects in 2022

2022 has been a year of big growth: new projects, new collaborations & so many new sources of inspiration for our work. Collected below, in no particular order, are 22 of our favorites, aka our wait, you did what?! list.

1. A whole new look for KCRW
We’ve had a crush on Southern California’s NPR station for years, so it was an honor this year to rebrand the station, from logo on down.

2. In Space with Markiplier
“We had so much fun creating an OOH campaign for YouTuber Markiplier. We placed billboards not just in Times Square and Sunset Boulevard but in rural towns across the country to surprise his fanbase.”

3. Mental Health for All
We teamed up with Real –an inspiring Mental Health platform making therapy more accessible for everyone– to create clinically sound audio guides to managing anxiety during pregnancy.

4. A podcast about the Grateful Dead today
“After meeting dozens of Dead Heads, we realized what has drawn people to this band for 50 years is a desire for release, and for belonging.”

5. Connecting the climate influencers
On behalf of Meta Sustainability we brought together over 100+ activists and influencers during Climate Week for an unforgettable evening.

6. Hot Pod Summit x2
In partnership with The Verge, we convened podcast industry decision makers coast to coast in Brooklyn and in Los Angeles. The flagship podcast business summit will return once again at On Air Fest this coming February.

 

7. On Air Fest takes LA
We celebrated LA’s storytelling scene with three days of podcasts, performances and community, taking over multiple venues across the city.

8. Premiere of ‘Pink Card’
Across four riveting episodes, ‘Pink Card’ tells the story of brave women who fight for the right to watch soccer games in Iran. We were proud to debut this unmissable series at On Air LA Annex with ESPN and Peabody award-winning creator, host and executive producer Shima Oliaee.

9. The New New
We unveiled The New New, the latest trends report for SXM Media. We collaborated on design and development for the report, presenting it for the first time as a standalone microsite.

10. Matchmaking our musical heroes

For the launch of Runaway Horses –the podcast we made with Sonos and hosted by Margo Price– we spent an amazing afternoon with Margo and Emmylou Harris in the studio.

11. The first-ever Ethereal Assembly
“This event was deeply intentional, with leaders from across the industry collaborating to arrive at concrete ways to elevate the industry”

13. This year in music
How did music change in 2022? We produced a year end special for Object of Sound from Sonos and it’s teeming with music recs plus interviews with Santigold, Kelela and Sam Sanders.

14. Together we rise
We worked with Soundrise née Market Enginuity to launch their new podcast sponsorship sales company, revealing a new website and key messaging.

15. National Public Media goes public
We rebranded NPM, the powerhouse sales org behind NPR, PBS, and WGBH to bring their look closer into relationship with the beloved public media institutions they uphold.

16. A birthday party for Radiolab
In celebration of Radiolab’s 20th anniversary we surprised Jad Abumrad with cupcakes 🙂

 

17. ‘Unlicensed’ Premiere
In partnership with Audible, we created a first-listen event for ‘Unlicensed’ the newest project from the creators of Welcome to Night Vale.

18. Telling Climate Stories
In partnership with Meta Sustainability we commissioned outspoken climate influencers to create Instagram Reels about the issues that matter the most: from water preservation to the energy grid.

19. Touring WNYC Studios with Lulu & Latif 
For the IAB’s we filmed all throughout WNYC Studios (even their famous radio archive) and spent a day with Lulu Miller and Latif Nasser the new hosts of Radiolab to capture what what makes WNYC a special place for listeners and brands.

 

20. On Air Open House
We produced the first-ever On Air Open House, powered by Patreon and hosted by Locatora Radio. An unmissable all-day get together of audio makers at the brand new dublab warehouse.

21. Interval Presents
We named and branded Interval Presents, the podcast imprint of Warner Music Group, one of the largest entertainment companies in the world. Interval Presents is home to podcasts at the intersection of music, pop culture, and social impact with high profile personalities including Lupita Nyong’o and Jason Derulo.

22. The first-ever Podcast Fan Experience
Is coming in 2023… But we want to leave you with something to look forward to. Drawing inspiration from open studio tours and immersive theater, each curated space will envelop visitors in the world of a single podcast designed to spark imagination, delight and discovery.
