Podcast Producer: Weekly Music News Show

Podcast Producer: Weekly Music News Show
Full Time Contract 6-9 months
Remote, NYC based preferred

We seek a highly experienced audio Producer with deep knowledge of contemporary music culture to help concept, launch and execute the first season of a weekly music news show.

The show, created in partnership with a major audio services company, will be the new standard in music news. We aim to chart a new path for the genre: showcasing today’s music (trends, releases, new artists) through the lens of culture, ideas and discourse.

Our ideal candidate self-identifies as a music lover. You are an active reader of music media with a finger on the pulse. You are the person your friends go to for recommendations, and you know about releases before they happen. Your taste is expansive and un-inhibited by genre. You respect the classics, but are all about the sounds of today.

We are looking for a podcast Producer with a track record of creating stories that make people care about the issues covered. Extensive experience facilitating and editing interviews as well as crafting compelling audio stories is a must. Show segments will include two-way interviews as well as short narrated explainer and docu-style pieces. The ideal candidate is a strong writer who can pull the threads together, and add context to the content. Most of all, we seek a creative collaborator who will bring fresh ideas, their unique perspective, drive, and expertise to our team.

Serious inquiries only. Experience working in music media is a plus. This position will run 6-9 months full time contract. Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
